A limited number of medical institutions nationwide can perform heavy ion radiotherapy. Moreover, there are not many medical institutions where staff with technical knowledge can answer questions on heavy ion radiotherapy in detail.

In order to respond to requests for consultation with professional staff, second opinions, and so on, special counseling clinics have been prepared at accessible locations in Tokyo.

Equipment: PET-CT (16-channel), MRI (1.5 T), CT (64-channel multislice), diagnostic endoscopy system (high-definition video), mammographic equipment (with biopsy system), and ultrasonic diagnostic equipment (3D).

Particle Radiotherapy Promotion Group (PRaP) was established to implement the business more widely.

The Particle Radiotherapy Patient Support Center was established on June 1, 2012, for the following purposes: to create an environment in which to place domestic and overseas patients who hope for heavy ion radiotherapy, in cooperation with relevant domestic and overseas medical institutions and so on, in order to establish system whereby patients can undergo the therapy in peace; and to manage and support the Particle Radiotherapy Clinic, which is central to the patient support system.

Particle Radiotherapy Promotion Group (PRaP) was established on Jan.6th of 2017 and implement the business more widely based on the experience cultivated activities related to the heavy ion radiotherapy performed at the patient support center.

    • Patient support based on screening by charged particle therapy specialists
    • Patient support based on second opinions by charged particle therapy specialists
    • Explanations and reports to a patient's attending physicians, and, as necessary, supportive introductions of patients to other medical institutions
  • Management support of the Particle Radiotherapy Clinic
    • Support regarding the financial aspects of the therapy
    • Support for point of contact services and so on
  • Support for promoting and popularizing charged particle cancer therapy
    • Holding lecture meetings and dispatching lecturers to popularize charged particle therapy and to support patients, and so on
    • Preparation and distribution of various PR materials to popularize charged particle therapy and to support patients
