Heavy ion radiotherapy: Raised in Japan
The purpose of this site is to spread knowledge of heavy ion radiotherapy and cultivate understanding of the technique among as many people as possible in Japan and overseas.

This therapeutic technique, which was first successfully developed in Japan, started to be used in medical sites after long-term clinical research.
However, even in Japan, this treatment can only be performed in six facilities, and only in a few countries, such as China, Germany, Italy and Austria.
In Japan and around the world, heavy ion radiotherapy is not well known or understood.

In light of these circumstances, the aim of this website is to cultivate a better understanding of heavy ion radiotherapy among a wide range of people. On this website, people who hope for this therapy in Japan and medical professionals can obtain information in English and Chinese.
We hope that heavy ion radiotherapy will be correctly understood by as many people as possible who want to undergo this new medical technique to improve their quality of life (QOL).
